Pike provides distribution system analysis, design, project management, and construction services in support of a Substation Optimization Program. The program focuses on hardening, resiliency, and advanced sectionalization at the substation level to ensure reliability and connectivity to the distribution system. Since 2022, Pike has performed turnkey services (EpC – Engineering, Material Management, Construction) for several substations in the North Carolina area. In 2024 alone, the Pike team delivered two substation optimization projects that were program compliant. The 60-person design-build team completed 40 miles of distribution overhead re-build (lateral and feeder), 20 miles of distribution underground cable replacement, and 60 advanced automation upgrades on time and within budget.
