100 MW/200 MWh – LFP BATTERY TEXAS Texas
Innovative Staging Techniques Drive Productivity on a 100 MW/200 MWh Battery Project
This battery project was a 1 Pike effort, including Pike Engineering, Pike Electric, Pike Renewables, and Pike Telecom. Full EPC scope of a substation and transmission connected facility. Included all engineering, site work, foundations, fencing, electrical, substation construction, transmission construction and connection to POI, and commissioning support. BESS consisted of 32 PCS units and 64 40’ air-cooled containers with the handloading of 15,500 Li-ion LFP batteries.
Pike staged battery pallets with lulls and developed a new tool allowing for a mini excavator to pick up the battery and place it in the appropriate rack. This greatly enhanced production and provided better ergonomics for the labor.
