EPC Pilot Projects Converting Distribution Feeder
Backbones to Underground in Texas

Power Contracting and Pike Engineering were awarded two pilot projects in a Texas metropolitan area to convert the primary three-phase distribution feeder backbone from overhead to underground. These pilot projects are part of a recently approved resiliency program with Power Contracting and Pike Engineering performing EPC scope for both circuits.

RESULTS

Pike Engineering’s preliminary design and scope recommendations in late 2025 helped the utility determine
and plan future conversion projects
