Full EPC for a New 230 kV Ring Bus Switching Station Serving a 74.9 MW Solar Facility

Pike recently built a Solar PV station capable of 74.9 MW net output located in Florida. This generating facility is interconnected to a new greenfield three-position ring bus 230 kV switching station. The switching station accommodates three total line positions, including two line positions for the loop-in of a 230 kV line, and one line position to accommodate the Gen-Tie 230 kV line. United Grid Solutions (UGS) furnished all EPC services to design, engineer, procure, construct, test, and commission the new 230 kV switching station, as well as the associated transmission line work and remote end work the substations.
