Eric Pike, Chairman

Eric is Chairman of Pike Corporation and previously served as both Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for over 25 years. In those roles, Eric has guided the company through significant internal and external growth through an acquisition strategy that led to twelve strategic acquisitions between 2003 and 2023. These acquisitions broadened the Company’s services to include engineering, gas distribution services and vegetation management while also expanding Pike’s operating footprint from a regional player to a nationally recognized presence.

Eric started his Pike career in 1990 as an A Class Lineman, managing an overhead distribution crew. He moved into contract management in 1992 and became a Region Vice President a year later. In this role, Eric managed the company’s Central Region ($100M+ in annual revenue), until he assumed the role of President in 1998. In addition, Eric led the successful Initial Public Offering of PIKE on the New York Stock Exchange in 2005, followed by the privatization of the company in 2014.

Eric has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Emory University.

James Wyche, CEO

James is Chief Executive Officer of Pike Corporation. He served as Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2020 to May 2023. James has been affiliated with Pike for over 20 years, serving as outside legal counsel and strategic adviser prior to joining the company as an employee.

Before joining Pike, James was a partner at an AmLaw 200 law firm where he was Chair of the Securities & Capital Markets and Corporate Governance practices.

James has a B.S. in Finance from Clemson University and a J.D. from Duke University.
