Thank You to Our Crews Working Winter Storms 12/13

March 8, 2013

I am asking of you that you thank all the crews that came to VA to help out during the snow storm. They are very nice people and I admire them for leaving their families and homes to come here to help out. I hope that if your area has an emergency that Dominion and Rappahanock Electric crews will do the same for you. I thank God for all of you.

It has been a few months since Hurricane Sandy hit the Somerset Hills Area of Somerset County NJ, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU again! Your power crews were friendly and timely in restoring power. They had a big job that JCPL just threw at them 5 days after the storm. The crews I had working in my area also worked through a snow blizzard! People forget, just want to show you I wont! Please pass around to all of your crews. They deserve pats on the back for a while.

While heading east on I-95 (CT) I saw hundreds of your trucks going west, heading home I believe, after helping restore power either in CT or maybe RI, don't know. These crews left the homes and families to help those in need. I just wanted to say THANKS.

We lost power due to the billard, "Nemo" on Friday, February 8th and they arrived to fix our power on Wednesday, February 13th. They were so fantastic! I am native of Raleigh, North Carolina and have lived in the New England for 3 years. It was great to have boys from home save my neighbors and me!I was very proud! Again, Thank you employee number 98's crew for making us warm again!!!!!

February 13, 2013

I wish to recognize and commend four of your workers for assistance provided to me and my family on Sunday 2/10/13 following the blizzard of 2/8 and 2/9/13 in Rhode Island. Roger Horton, Greg Baier, Scott Hamm, and Darren Ryan removed a fallen pine tree from power lines directly in front of our house. They prevented the tree from doing further damage to our house and vehicles and repaired electric lines such that power was restored to our house and street. The power had been out for two days and the temperature inside the house was 42. We really appreciate the highly skilled and professional work done by your crew. Please be sure to convey my thanks to them. Hal Records

February 13, 2013

Thank you to your wonderful crew who came up to "shed light" at our residence and town after Storm Nemo demolished our area. These men had to work directly on our property and they could not have been any nicer, professional or tireless workers. Due to not having power, I must apologize that us Northerns could not offer some southern hospitality like coffee and biscuits. Our sincerest thanks.

I want to personally thank the crew that came all the way here to help us out. I met a few of the crew members and they were great guys! Thank you!! I think one guy was Raymond. 42 years with Pike. Loved him. Please thank him for me! Your crew was amazing! Another guy I met went out of his way to let me know what was happening. Can't say enough about your company. Welcome back anytime!

We are in RI and got clobbered by Nemo. Lost power Fri PM and got back Monday PM. Saw TONS of your trucks and manpower out and about and wanted to say thanks. A lot. I know they got paid and it was revenue for you but it's a LONG ride and once in NY in the storm was likely a bear. Long hours, slogging through heavy wet snow, brambles etc. No picnic for sure. It's blood money for the workers. But know and please pass along our appreciation. It would've been colder and darker longer without your efforts. You are appreciated. I think they need to hear that from a thankful receipient of their work. Best wishes.

Thank you so much for sending the "calvalry" to RI to assist with blizzard related outages. I had the pleasure of meeting some on your employees when them came into my neighborhood to restore power caused by 3 downed powerlines on Lakedell Drive, Warwick. The gentleman I spoke with was kind, professional and knowledgeable. The work was done in a very timely manner. We are thrilled to have electricity back. I love lights! Thank you so much!

I just wanted to thank your road crew for last Friday night. I ended up catching the convoy that was on I-80 E to I-81 N, heading to every where it seemed. I ended up in the middle of a rather large line of trucks, going 30 mph and making my trip from Bloomsburg to New York a hell of a lot safer. I watched the rolling convoy split up as we went but the main point to my message is that, it was bad out and the roads not the greatest but the convoy would allow cars in between their trucks, in their line so that we could all travel safely. [10 trucks then me, and another car, a truck, 2-3 cars, a truck and that went on for quite a while, like they knew that their presence helped make the trek so much easier.] The amount of trucks moving cleaned off the road and their pace helped control a few cars that weren't quite ready for the blizzard. I would just like to thank them for not only going out in that bad weather and helping others but on their way doing just that as well. It made my drive much less anxiety filled. I'm not sure anyone else will thank them for that little bit of kindness but I wanted them to know it was appreciated. So thanks for plowing the road when there was no plow to be seen for that whole time, letting motorist follow in the path and get home much safer and much more relaxed. Seriously keep doing that, when I absolutely needed to get home I was very happy to find them. (Also much safer drivers than the tractor and trailers I had found on my trip- sometimes they are terrifying, your drivers definitely needed to be where they were going and I felt very secure in between, in the line. That's seriously saying something.)

A huge thank you to the guys from Pike Electric who came to Arkansas and got our electricity back on after being without for 6 days. If we had to rely on Entergy we'd still be in the dark for another week or more.

Thanks to all of Pike Electric men who helped during this stressful time for all of us. From all the neighbors on Reed Road we salute you!! Big hugs guys, we appreciate you with all our heart. :) A Happy new Year to you all and we hope you get some much needed rest and back with your family for the New Year. Lets hope there are no more huge snow storms and certainly not a dang Blizzard again in Arkansas.

Iam not sure if I am sending this message where it needs to go but I live in Little Rock AR and we had a pretty bad winter storm on Christmas Day. I was one of the lucky ones who did not lose power, that is until today. Power went out about 9:30 this morning. About five this afternoon two trucks from Pike were on my corner and at 6:01 my power was back in service. I did not get the name of the man I talked to but he told me they were out of Missouri. I just wanted to say thank you to your crews working to get Arkansas back on the grid. My God bless every one of them and all their counterparts from other energy companies. We do appreciate the help!

I had been 5 1/2 days without electricity. I have lost every bit of frozen food and then some, I own. I was cold and losing my mind from the darkness. I know that all states help each other out when needed, however, I have never been so happy and relieved to see two shiny bright PIKE electrical trucks in front of my house as I was today. They are a long way from home and working deligently to assist our state in a time of need. I had nothing to offer them, not even a hot cup of coffee. I want to at the very least send a big thank you to them and PIKE electric for being here and assisting during this time of need. I don't know if you get many e-mails such as this, and maybe I need to be cleaning out my freezer instead of being on the computer, but I want your company to know how thankful I am for the men and women who left their homes and families to be here in the great state of Arkansas!! THANK YOU!!

Just a quick note to let you know how grateful I am for your guys coming to Little Rock, Arkansas. I am still currently out of power but they do have it to my street and we are expecting it to be back on by 300 PM on 12-31-12 Having the power to the street coming at least to my street to my neighborhood is sure a lot better than total darkness since Christmas Day. Thanks again for all they have done and still are doing.

I live in the Diamondhead Community outside of Hot Springs, Arkansas. A week ago we were hit by a snow storm that knocked out the power in all of Diamondhead. A few days later, a swarm of Pike Electric trucks arrived and soon the power was restored. The employees from Pike worked tirelessly to restore everyone's power. I know they were colder and more tired than we were. But they did not quit until the job was fully complete. We appreciate the efforts of our out of state friends on our behalf. It is surely nice to once again sit in my nice warm house with my wife and grandkids. We will celebrate the new year in comfort thats to the good men and women from Pike! Thanks to you all.

Thank you again and please pass this along to the crew that restored power to Rosemont Drive in Little Rock on December 29, 2012.

I had been 5 1/2 days without electricity. I have lost every bit of frozen food and then some, I own. I was cold and losing my mind from the darkness. I know mother nature is mostly to blame, but I have to look at our own electrical company for part of the blame. Maybe just some poor planning on their part. I know that all states help each other out when needed, however, I have never been so happy and relieved to see two shiny bright PIKE electrical trucks in front of my house as I was today. They are a long way from home and working deligently to assist our state in a time of need. I had nothing to offer them, not even a hot cup of coffee.
