Thank You to Our Crews Working Storm Sandy

March 3, 2013

It has been a few months since Hurricane Sandy hit the Somerset Hills Area of Somerset County NJ, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU again! Your power crews were friendly and timely in restoring power. They had a big job that JCPL just threw at them 5 days after the storm. The crews I had working in my area also worked through a snow blizzard! People forget, just want to show you I wont! Please pass around to all of your crews. They deserve pats on the back for a while.

Bernardsville, New Jersey

December 20, 2012

Mr. Wade Norton of your company sent a very nice letter of appreciation to our community, Bernardsville NJ, which was published in our local newspaper. It was a gracious gesture. The efforts of Mr. Norton and the other Pike employees who helped "get the lights back on" after Hurrican Sandy was much appreciated in our town. I congratulate you on the quality of your people and the fine job they did here. You should be very proud of them. I hope you can find some way of letting your people know how much we appreciated their help.

This is a message of thanks for the work of the Pike employees who restored our power after we spent nearly a week living in the dark and cold. Our situation required some ingenuity and resourcefulness and your workers demonstated those qualities in abundance. We are very grateful Pike employees came to help New York in its hour of true need.

To the Pike team that came up to Chappaqua after Sandy, I just wanted to personally thank you so much. We didn't have power for 10 days and are still dealing with the storm aftermath, but the one positive thing that happened was when the Pike trucks showed up on our street and within 2 days, we had power! We know it would have been so much longer had Pike not showed up. Thank you from our entire family. Hope you enjoy the holidays! You guys deserve it!

Chappaqua, New Jersey

I wanted to thank Pike Electric and all of the employees who came up to New Jersey and helped to fix the massive damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. You helped us all to quickly regain a sense of normalcy in what was one of the most devastating natural disasters this area of the country has ever seen. When I saw the line of Pike trucks come into Bernardsville the Sunday after the storm, I felt like the cavalry had arrived. Thank you again to your company, your employees and their families, you are all a phenomenal example of the American spirit.

November 14, 2012

Thank you and your employees for the work you've done in my hometown, Bernardsville, New Jersey, after Sandy left our little town without power. As the temperatures dropped in the days after the storm, having no power meant having no heat - a scary thought with two young children at home. I was never happier than when I saw those bright yellow trucks from Pike in Bernardsville. A special thank you to your workers, who left their homes for weeks to help put New Jersey back on track. Your efforts did not go unnoticed in our house. Sincerely, and with my most heartfelt thanks,

Bernardsville, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

November 14, 2012

Please thank the workers who left their homes and families for weeks at a time to help us deal with the effects of Hurricane Sandy. Often portrayed as rude and unfriendly, the people of New Jersey are truly grateful for the time and talent of those out of state workers that we saw from so many different states. God Bless!

Bernardsville, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

November 14, 2012

Hello Pike Energy - I just wanted to tell you thank you, from the bottom of heart, for your assistance to the people of NY/NJ. Being born and bred a "Jersey Girl", and still having family in NJ, I made a very quick trip to NJ on Saturday (11/10) returning on Monday (11/12). I was absolutely overwhelmed by the number of your trucks I saw on the highway on both travel days. God bless you, your workers and their families, for their compassion and willingness to help people they didn't even know. Thank you so very much - may your kindness and caring be repaid a hundred-fold.

New Jersey, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

I would like to commend your people for an excellent job repairing the electric lines in our neighborhood. They were courteous and very dilligent under very tough conditions. In particular, Gary, exemplifies the qualities Pike Electric would be proud of. Thank you for the help.

Bernardsville, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

First I would like to say that all your men are Angels from Heaven. They are truly the nicest group of guys I have ever met. They were from W Va, NC, Va, Ga. This area looked like WWIII and they truly did one hell of a job getting power back to our homes. I could kiss every one of them. The Pike crews were managed by Randy - General Forman, Robert - crew forman, Denis - Forman, Rodney - Forman & Steve Stevens - Forman. The individuals guys: Dickie, Philip, Denis, joe, Ethon, Alex and many others were absolutely great. I got along with every one of them extremely well. I have a BS in Accounting & a Masters in Computer Science, but I have a blue collar mentality. I was without power for almost two weeks. On 11/8/12 I thought everyone forgot us. I tracked down one of your crews managed by the name of Randy and said that everyone around us had power except me and three other houses. Randy said you will have power tomorrow night. Damn, we had power by 9pm on 11/9/12. By the time power was restored, there were four trucks there. From the bottom of my heart, I can't thank you enough for all your men.

Smithtown, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

Hello, We are the Reddin family from Smithtown, NY. Two weeks ago we were hit with Hurricane Sandy. We lost power for 13 days. Just when I thought that we were forgotten. The Smith brothers and their crew came to street. They were the most polite and respectful men and got the job done. I just wanted to let you know that you have a great bunch of men working for you. I wanted to give them a big Thank You! They will not be forgotten. I do have a picture of your guys with my daughters, would have loved to send to you guys but it will not let me attach it.

Smithtown, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

I don't know if it was your company that restored my power, but I've seen your trucks all around New Rochelle, so I just wanted to THANK YOU for helping.

New Rochelle, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

Let me start by saying thank you to the dedicated and hardworking line crews from your company. After 8 days without power we had the pleasure of having several of your crews at the end of our road. During a driving snow storm in the dark the crews worked until power was restored to our neighborhood. My wife brewed coffee for the men and I picked up a few Pizzas but I wish we could have done more. Words can not describe how polite, classy, & professional each one of your lineman was. When the sun came up the next day and we were able to see all of the repair work that they had done in a driving snowstorm I was impressed with the quality and attention to detail in all of their work. I feel confident that their work will withstand anything that mother nature can throw at it. With over 350 poles and miles of wire down in our small town your crews are practicaly rebuilding our whole electrical delivery system and nothing could make us feel better knowing that we are getting the best workmanship that anyone could ever provide. You are lucky to have such quality people working for your company and we were lucky to have them dispatched to our town to help us in this trying time. We all pray that they all return home safely and try and go easy on them when they return home because they truly worked their tails off.

New Jersey, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

I cannot begin to thank the crews from your power company who worked so diligently in my devastated town to restore power. The men were kind, caring, courteous and professional. They politely turned down any offers of food or drink during their long hours on the job. After two weeks of no electricity, they were a welcome sight. I know they have been away from home helping out here in New Jersey and I will be forever grateful. Also, appreciate the education and instruction on how to make sweet tea!! All the best

New Jersey, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

Thank you so much for sending your crews to help us in our time of need in NJ. It was awesome seeing a caravan of your trucks coming in and felt comforted by the help. Thank you for leaving your families, and lives to give us power and light. The people of NJ thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

New Jersey, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

I am a resident in New Jersey and the other day, I noticed a large caravan of your utility trucks driving down the highway. I just wanted to send a quick email to thank your company for sending workers to help restore our electricity. And I'd also like to extend a sincere 'thank you' to the workers who are far away from home helping people they don't even know. It's so nice to see that there is still some good in people and the many many people across the country who have banded together to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy have my sincerest gratitude. Thank you!!

New Jersey, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

I want to Thank all your crews that left there homes and families to come and help everyone in NJ. I live in both NC and NJ (I travel for work, originally a New Yorker ). I was so proud to see NC power employees in the parking lot of my job helping people in my area of NJ. I greeted these guys who were making a plan apparently, talked with them for a minute and thanked them for there service. And then went and bought them each coffee they were so thankful and sweet. I want to thank all of the pike electric employees that have left there homes to help us rebuild ours!

New Jersey, New Jersey

November 14, 2012

Dear Sirs: This note is to thank your workers for restoring power to our house in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. In particular, I'd like to mention one of your foremen, Stephen (please pardon me if I have spelled his name incorrectly). He took the time to listen to our woes, explain how his crews were dealing with the problems at hand, and reassure us that power was on the way. He was polite and gentlemanly -- and he "came through" for us. (Hard) hats off to Mr. Stephens, and the Pike employees we met.

Long Island, New York

November 14, 2012

Just wanted to say Thank you. Your crew was the one that restored my power on Sunday. I appreciate that they are up here to help. Thanks

New York, New York

November 14, 2012

I want to thank you (and I know there are hundreds of others that agree) for the work your people did to help us get our power up and running during the aftermath of hurricane Sandy. Although I did not have the pleasure of interacting with any of your staff, we saw many Pike trucks in our area, with men hard at work at all unimaginable hours. Im sure they didnt have very warm accommodations or food, nor much sleep, but I hope that wherever these people stayed while they were in Westchester County, they were treated kindly and respectfully. A friend in my office made it her personal mission to hand out donuts, muffins and cookies whenever she saw crews working - I wish I had thought of that! Please thank your people. We were fortunate - nothing landed on our house, we only lost a screen, which we found in a neighbor's bushes, undamaged. We were only out of power for 7 days - we know people who were out for 13 days. I will have to slowly restock my freezer, but considering the hardships our fellow NYer's and Long Islanders have suffered, we are blessed and very thankful. Bless you all!!! Thank You!

Long Island, New York

November 14, 2012

I am an employee of Consolidated Edison Company in New York. I recently had the privilege of working with several Pike Electric employees who made the long trip up to New York to help us repair the devastation caused by hurricane Sandy. All of your employees performed in an exemplary manner but I must mention two employees that I worked closely with. Ronnie and David . These two employees could not have worked harder or given us more cooperation. They bring credit to your company and I hope you will recognize them for their long hours and hard work while far away from their homes and families. I regret that I only had one opportunity to meet these two fine gentlemen. Please extend my personal gratitude and the thanks of all of us at Con Ed to Ronnie, David and all of the Pike employees who assisted us with this unprecedented challenge.

New York, New York

November 14, 2012

I wanted to give my thanks to the Pike team that restored the power lines in our neighboorhood (Stanwood Rd. off Meetinghouse Rd) in Mt. Kisco. I spoke with the foreman of the crew who was extremely courteous and informative. I, however failed to get his name, but wanted someone at Pike to know that your front line was top notch.

November 13, 2012

As I was leaving work today I noticed a few of your trucks on the road. From someone who was without power for almost a week after Sandy I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for sending so much help! I hope you all know how much it is truly appreciated!! It is so inspiring to see people come from all over the country to help us begin to rebuild. Thank you again for your help and kindness, hope your men are adjusting to our nasty weather with ease!

November 13, 2012

As you know Hurricane Sandy devasted the New York metropolitan area nearly two weeks ago. Since then there has been an enormous clean-up and rebuilding effort taking place. Thankfully my home was not damaged by the storm, but the entire region I live in lost power. I was without power for 12 days. My power was restored this morning. Your team is here helping NY re-build and specifically they are the ones that got powwer back for me and my neighbors. I know utility companies often get blamed for the length of time it takes to restore power after a storm. The destruction here was enormous and some things take more time than expected. The 12 days I had no power were quite frustrating, but I understood that everyone was trying their hardest to restore some normalcy to the area. I briefly spoke to some of your team members (I'm sorry I don't know their names) and they were extraordinarily polite and caring. It shocked me when they apologized to me for the delay when they were the ones that were working so hard. Beyond that I am also quite aware that these men are away from their own homes and families working hard to try and give this area relief. So, I just want to say THANK YOU to your team of people who came to New York to lend a hand. Great job!

New York, New York

November 13, 2012

I would like to thank your crew and men for their hard work in restoring our electricity. Over the eight days, each morning when leaving for work I saw the Pike Electric trucks on our streets doing what they do. It is very appreciated.

New York, New York

November 13, 2012

Thank you so very much to everyone involved in the effort to restore our power following Hurricane Sandy. Guys from Pike were the ones who fixed our line following 10 nights without electricity (and thus heat!). We are so grateful for your assistance, not only helping my family and my neighborhood but also to all places where Pike has assisted Con-Edison following Sandy. You are our heros! Many, many thanks.

New York, New York

November 13, 2012

Our power was just restored after more than 11 days since the storm on October 29th. It was one of your crews that straightened out a particularly nasty tangle of trees and wires that caused the outage on our road. Many thanks to the men who spend time away from their families and loved ones to work long hours and get the jobs done. We have nothing but admiration for their dedication to the difficult jobs they do.

New York, New York

November 13, 2012

A Big Thank You to your employees who came to help Long Island during it's darkest time. We appreciate everything you have done for us!

November 13, 2012

I'm not sure I'm getting this to the right people. I wanted to say thank you to those employee's who came to Pennsylvania during Hurricane Sandy. I was without electric for 6 days. On the 6th day, the employee's from PIKE were at our street putting the electric poles, wires and transformes back together like they were Lego's. These guys knew exactly what they were doing. I can't express my gratitude enough to these guys. Thanks for helping us out during out time of need. We love you guys!

Pennsylvania

November 13, 2012

Pike Electric, I hope you can somehow PLEASE get this message out to all your employees that gave their time away from family and friends to assist in the difficult job of getting our electric power restored here in eastern Pennsylvania where I live in the wake of Sandy. To all of you Pike employees that I have seen around here and the ones I have not seen??..THANK YOU! Your concern, expertise and professionalism are a credit to the Pike Electrical Corporation. Your selfless dedication and assistance is a credit to mankind and the American spirit we are so desperately lacking these days. Your families, Pike and the state of North Carolina should be proud. Thank you again, from my family to you and yours, may GOD bless you and keep you

Hellertown, Pennsylvania

November 12, 2012

November 12, 2012

Tears poured down my face when I finally saw PIKE trucks on my street. It was a long 11 days, 10 cold nights... when your men showed up my face lit up with excitement and hope. I asked one of the men that was walking down the street if he was here to fix my power, with a charming southern accent he said "yes ma'am." I then felt the need to hug him and thank him a million times. You have left your families, homes, lives so that you can help us restore our families, homes, lives....... God Bless you all, we are very fortunate and blessed that you are all here to help us in our time of need. I would hug each and every one of you for your overwhelming help during these times. If your workers have experienced any cranky Long Islanders, please be aware that our homes and lives have been destroyed. However, give me their names and I will personally correct their wrong doing. I feel confident to say that we as a whole are very grateful for your service. God Bless the entire PIKE company.

Westchester County, New York

November 12, 2012

I am writing this evening with a huge THANK YOU to your company for sending a team of men to put our wires back on poles, and replacing lots of poles, from the destruction of our hurricane Sandy here in Westchester County, NY. Your PIKE trucks were a welcomed sight for us, and talking to your team about their daily progress was so wonderful. They worked so hard and also worked through a snow storm to restore our power. We thank their families for allowing them to come to our rescue also. After 13 days with ConEdison giving us rediculous dates and times of repair, your men told us point blank each benchmark they were making in their plan for power restoration. They were polite, kind and we appreciated their sacrifices to help us. They are to be commended. One gentlemen with a gray/platinum beard in particular, was so considerate of our plight. Having well systems, therefore with no running water for toilets, was so reassuring each day that they were close to geting our neighborhood up and running again. I wish we knew all of their names as they were so wonderful in keeping us informed. Please thank them for us here in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, out on Route 129, Fox Run Road & Longview Road.

Croton-on-Hudson, New York

November 12, 2012

To the Board of Directors and Principals: J. Eric Pike Charles E. Bayless James R. Helvey, III Robert D. Lindsay General Peter Pace Daniel J. Sullivan J. Russell Triedman James L. Turner Anthony K. Slater Audie G. Simmons James T. Benfield Jim Benfield Timothy Harshbarger I would like to take this opportunity to commend the professionalism, integrity and downright job well done of your workers who came from far and wide to help us in our time of need during the Sandy Hurricane and following Nor'easter. Our area was hard hit for third time in a year, with trees and telephone poles scattered like pickup sticks. Losing power for 12 days this time and 8 the previous year has been a hardship on my Elder Uncle who is over 80 years old. He is now coming to face the fact that he can no longer live in his home of 40 years. We have had other companies come thru our region during these storms and slap things together only to lose power hours after they drove off. Wires were left dangling, limbs left ON the road etc. A true nightmare! My profession is not an Electrician or a Tree expert but while watching these different groups work, YOUR MEN ARE SUPERIOR in every facet. When your employees drove into our area they were there to WORK, not sleep in their trucks. They spoke to me with RESPECT even when shamefully they were being yelled at by some of our irate neighbors. Overall, what is most reassuring is that the way they did their work has left us with a fighting chance to keep our power the next storm. Please gentlemen, reach out from the Boardroom into your rank and file and give them a good old pat on the back and "JOB WELL DONE" when they finally reach home. Money is always tight and raises are difficult to pass out as we would wish but never let go of an opportunity to recognize your employees when they do the right thing. I by no means want to think about another storm hitting our area but if it does; my family will be rooting for the PIKE GUYS to come back to our area! Below is an incomplete list of the gentlemen who worked in our area but it was the best I could do. If I have omitted anyone it is only my fault not because they too should be applauded. I am sure your company can identify the others who worked here and should also be commended. Brandon Evans, Frankie Burden, Joe Burden, Josh Herrington, Walter Dornall, "Snap", Brian Benton, Chad Saunders, Cammeron Brown, Tremayne Hawkins, Larry Combs, "Skip", Cody Medlock, Shawn Eller, David Brawley, Jody Bennett, Danlel? Johnson, Mathew Enoch. and so many more that I just didn't get their names. A Heartfelt THANK YOU to all

November 12, 2012

Hi I am one of the many people in new jersey that was hit with a power outage from hurricane sandy. My family consist of my husband, my 18 year old daughter, 11 year old twin son and daughter and myself. We lost power on October 29th at around 300pm or so. thanks to your wonderful company we got our power back at 700pm last night (november 10th). We can not tell you how much we appreciate all your company has done for our town. We had so many people out and in one day your compnay came up and made such a difference. They are out there againworking harder than anything and I have no doubt having your company here our two will all be up by today maybe tomorrow the latest. Most in this town feel your company grabbed the ball and ran it for a touchdown. Going as long as we did without power especially with kids we were worried how long we could do this. Your workers are friendly, hardworking and every single one that worked in our town of roxbury and I am sure every other town in new jersey deserves a bonus, a round of applause and our deepest appreciation. We thank your company for all that it did for our town and for us. Thank you

I just wish to thank the team of lines men which are here in New Jersey restoring the power to my home. We have been without power ever since hurricane Sandy brought destruction to NJ. Seeing the yellow Pike trucks arrive on my driveway this morning was a feeling of utter relief. I thank the men who have made the journey to help us out in NJ and all the men and women in Pike whom have made that possible.

Like many New Yorkers, my neighborhood in Westchester County lost electricity due to Hurricane Sandy. While our house was not structurally damaged, the loss of power (due to downed power lines and a blown transformer) meant no lights, water or heat to our house and to our family of four. On our 10th day without electricity, PIKE crews from Tennessee and Kentucky came to our street. These men were so helpful, personable, professional and efficient! Despite a Nor'easter hitting us that day, this PIKE crew managed to get our lines back up and my whole neighborhood up by the next day. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to these men and to your company who allocated your resources when it was most needed. We are so grateful to you!

Dear Pike Electric, We just wanted to thank you so much for sending your crews to NJ to help us after Hurricane Sandy. They left their warm homes and families to come here and work tirelessly in the cold. We are extremely grateful. Please give them all a huge thank you from us and everyone in our state. We don't know if they were in our own town or not but we did see their truck on the road. We hope we never have to live through another storm like that, but now we know to be better prepared. God Bless all of you!

Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

November 12, 2012

I wanted to give my thanks to the Pike team that restored the power lines in our neighboorhood (Stanwood Rd. off Meetinghouse Rd) in Mt. Kisco. I spoke with the foreman of the crew who was extremely courteous and informative. I, however failed to get his name, but wanted someone at Pike to know that your front line was top notch.

November 12, 2012

I just wanted to thank Pike and the crews they sent up north for storm restoration from Hurricane Sandy. Pike restored my power 2 days ago and the guys were amazing. They were kind, helpful, fast and efficient. The interaction of the crews was amazing to watch. They were like an electrical SWAT team, they swooped in, quickly repaired the damage and moved on. They made my house livable again, and allowed my family to come home from various places were they we staying. Thanks again for being here, and thank you to all the crew members who made my house a home again.

Mt. Kisco, New York

I live in NJ and as you know, we were hit with a pretty bad storm two weeks ago. I was writing to your company, who Ive seen all over our state over the past two weeks, to thank you. My fiance and I want to thank the many workers who have come here to help restore our power, whom have worked endless days and hours, and who have also left family back home to do so. We are extremely grateful for everything your company and employees have done for our state in this time of need. Please let all the men and women know their hard work and long hours have not gone un-noticed and that its because of them that this state is able to get back to normal. Thank you again!

November 12, 2012

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the work your staff has done. Some of your men were in our neighborhood repairing our outages after Hurricane Sandy. The men doing the work on North Finley Avenue in Basking Ridge NJ were extremely helpful and very considerate. They were a godsend to us. I know the job must be hard for them ? they are working away from home and families while working with people who were frustrated due to the lengthy outage. Please thank each and every one of them.

Basking Ridge, New Jersey

November 12, 2012

I would just like to say that a crew of your men came to my home today to restore power after this devestating hurricane. The men from Pike were professional, kind, understanding. They assessed the issues at my house and restored power to me in less than one hour. I think any bosses and supervisors from pike should know that pike workers are doing a tremendous job and I give my sincere and heartfelt thanks to them. My family has been considering moving to NC. Now, we will someday, without a doubt.

Basking Ridge, New Jersey

November 12, 2012

I want to say "Thank you". Please tell the crews who worked on Child's Road in Bernardsville, NJ after Sandy, how professional, kind, helpful and wonderful they are. We were without power for 12 days, until this past Saturday afternoon, when they restored our power. They worked day and night for three days. You have some great people on your team. All of us appreciate that they came to help, in a strange town. We hope they know how much we appreciate them.

Bernardsville, New Jersey

November 12, 2012

I'm writing to tell you that Marion Reid Nichols and his Pike crew were lifesavers for us in the aftermath of Sandy. They arrived at our home at around noon yesterday and by 5:00 had restored our power after 13 days. They are a pleasant, hard working team and were amazing to watch in action. We are truly grateful to Marion and his guys and to Pike for assisting us after the storm. Thank you!

November 12, 2012

Thank you, Pike, for restoring power to our neighborhood after Hurricane Sandy. Your men worked tirelessly to stitch us back together. We needed new poles, new transformers, new lines: everything. We know your men are tired and ready to come home, but we are so deeply grateful for their assistance in this time of great need. Between the hurricane and the snow storm, we were without power for 14+ days, and in a rural community like ours, that means no water as everyone has a well. We are now warm and clean thanks to Pike!!! Thank you so much for coming to our rescue. Sincerely, the residents of Wagner Road, East Amwell Township

East Amwell Township, New York

November 12, 2012

Just wanted to take a minute to thank all of your employees who came to NY to help restore power to our state after superstorm Sandy came through. I met some of your workers as they repaired the damage on my brothers street (2 days ahead of schedule!) & they were gracious, knowledgable and dedicated to the task at hand. As an ops.mgr. for a transportation company in the 5 boroughs of NYC, I can certainly appreciate the logistics of your operation and just thought you should know that we appreciate all your workers did for us. Thanks, Pike Electric!

We are the Reddin Family from Smithtown, NY. After having no heat or power for thirteen days with a 4 year old and a 6 month old baby and calling our electric company LIPA everyday and getting the brush off. Your husband and his crew came to our house to give us power. They listened to our stories and where the most kind hearted men we have ever met. Your husband talked about your little girl and showed us pictures. Realizing that my electric company did not have the equipment to fix our power they told us they were not leaving until they would give us light. I would also like to thank you, for letting your husband travel up here to help us. It takes a strong woman to do that. Thank you again I will never forget these six men that let me finally put my babies down in their nice warm beds. I was wondering if you could give me an email address or a Facebook page of the Pike electric company. I would like to send it to them. There hard works should not be forgotten. Thank you so much.

November 8, 2012

My mom and I saw a crew from North Carolina staging at the Walmart here in Wilkes Barre, PA. They helped in the Allentown, PA area and were still not going home as the area is due to get hit with another major storm. Here in Wilkes Barre, we were not hit by this storm, but we have family and friends that were. A big thank you to all your crew for helping the area duri g this crisis. We brought the guys some coffee, but I am sure it wasn't enough for all of them. Please let them know we are grateful for their efforts and dedication. Hope all get home safely.

I wanted to express my thanks to the crew (and all of the other linemen who are helping out) which came up to help us restore some normalcy following Hurricane Sandy. The crew worked through our first seasons' snow storm to restore my electric last night after 8 days in the dark. Words are hard to find to express our gratitude.

Hi there- I just wanted to say thank you - just saw several of your trucks drive down my tiny street here in the suburbs of Philadelphia to help out with the clean-up/re-powering of our area after the storm. The number of trucks we've seen from providers from all over the country has been heart-warming and I hope one day our area can re-pay yours for all the help and kindness that's come our way.

November 8, 2012

We are among the many people in the northeast who were impacted by the severe power outages after Sandy. We are back to having no power with this latest storm, but are hopeful it will come back before too long. Never before have I known to be so grateful for simple things, and we were not even among the hardest hit. On Saturday, November 3, after nearly a week with no power -- and after not seeing a utility truck of any kind all week long -- a Pike truck suddenly appeared on our streets, and I finally felt hopeful. By later that day, power was restored. My son said it was a Pike worker who came to our door to check that our generator was not connected to the house before power was turned back on. Thank you to all of your workers who have helped us get back to some sense of normalcy! I have heard through the grapevine through the linemen who were here from Pike drove up from Austin, TX, but I see you also have major offices in other parts of the country. My youngest son and I will be in Austin next week for the Formula 1 races (as part of the work of Children's Tumor Foundation, a nonprofit we are involved with because of a nerve and tumor disorder he suffers from). We have some free time Thursday afternoon after our flight lands (and possibly also some time Friday). If, while we are there, we can meet and extend a personal thank you to any of the linemen who were here, we would love the chance to do that. Either way, please let your people know how much their efforts and work here are appreciated by our family and by so many others in our community. It definitely has not gone unnoticed, and we know without the help of Pike and others from out of state, we likely still would be very far away from any kind of repairs to this very damaged part of the nation.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

November 8, 2012

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that on Wednesday November 7 I had the pleasure of passing a convoy of your people on I-78 East. I waved to every truck in appreciation for them taking time away from their families to help us in PA after Sandy. Thank you to all of your employees who came and helped!

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

November 8, 2012

Thank you so much for sending your workers up to Basking Ridge, from West Va. They restored our power after 10 days of freezing in our home , 44 degrees. They showed up said they would get it up and going and DID in 24 hours. They were the most polite, professional, hard working men I have ever met. We need you up here full time. I just want them to know how much it meant to us.We were screaming when the lights came on.My daughter and I rode up the street to their trucks in the snow to thank them in person. They will never know how much it meant to us, like hitting the lottery. And to their familys back home, thanks for letting them leave home for such a long time to help strangers.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

November 8, 2012

Thank you for sending your crews from Georgia to help us regain our power. They worked hard through the Nor'easter last night to restore our power. We were without power for nine days and their hard work as the storm approached provided relief at a particularly lowpoint of what has been quite an ordeal in our area. Thank-you again for your hardworking and dedicated workers.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

November 8, 2012

I would like to thank the young men who were here in New City, New York to restore our power after this hurricane.I truly felt so honored that they came all this way to help us. I am certain that this was not an easy journey as many people here were extremely frustrated, gas was very hard to come by, and who knows what else. Please thank the crew for all of us. We are very grateful.

New City, New York

Dear PIKE, A very WARM (literally) THANK YOU from our family to yours for sending up the work crews to help fix the electric outtages in Westchester County, NY caused by Hurricane Sandy. I saw your crews all over (and didn't see a single ConEdison vehicle until just this morning!), which gave us hope. 11 days later, you guys gave us our power back, and we're very appreciative. Your guys braved a nor'easter and are away from their families just to help us. My house was in the mid-30s this morning when I had to go out and shovel 10" of snow, and then come into a house that was no warmer than it was outside, with no way to dry off or warm up, and tonight I am enjoying my heat, lights and the internet so I can write this note! THANKS!!

Just want to say thanks to the Pike crews, wherever they went the power came on! They worked long hours in the snow (I think our crew was from Texas, so they were cold). We appreciate all the sacrifices these guys made, being away from their homes and families, to get our power back on! Thanks Guys!!!!

I would just like to extend my thanks to the crews sent from your company to restore power in our neighborhood. On 11-07-12 we were hit with the noreaster and your crews worked throughout the day faced with wet, windy and wintery conditions. Mid-afternoon we had power. It was just in time after ten days without power, heat or a generator, my family was roughing it but getting by. As a former Marine and current Police Detective serving in Suffolk County, I am impressed by the men from your company. When I left for work today Pike was still in the neighborhood working. I am sure my neighbors appreciate the work they do as much as I do. Please pass this on to them. Thank you.

Suffolk County, New York

November 8, 2012

On Sunday November 4th a four man crew from Missouri, one of them looked like Santa lol, turned my power back on after a tree took my power line out during Hurricane Sandy. They were so fantastic and easy going and considering they have been away from their own families helping us I wasn't expecting them to be so nice. It was greatly appreciated and Pike and those four men are ok with me!

Suffolk County, New York

November 8, 2012

My family spent the night in a Best Western hotel in Fort Washington, PA last night, as we're still without power. The place was filled with your crews -- what a welcome sight to see all the foreign crews around! The Pike folks were extremely pleasant, courteous guys. Thanks, guys. It's impossible to complain when you see so many people working so hard to get us back up.

As a resident of Quakertown PA it is awesome to see the swarm of out of state help in our area. I spotted one of your teams and wanted to say thank you. As you know already the North East has been going through a tough time dealing with the electric problems caused by hurricane Sandy. I have seen your men and your equipment working in my area. I am writing this to say Thank You to your company for making an effort in order to get this area back on its feet. I hear alot of complaining about how long things are taking to get done but know one is offering any gratitude when they get the results made possible by companies such as yours that have stepped up to help out the local power companies. I'm not sure if your company helped me directly but none the less Thank You for your help and support. All the Best

I live in Bucks County, Pa. We lost our electricity on Monday when Hurricane Sandy blew thru our area. Your crews were the ones who came and worked for two days to get our neighborhood up and running. My husband and other neighbors were talking to your employees. We just want to write and say how they were very friendly and professional. It was nice in this trying time (2 kids and no electricity for a week) to find a group of guys who are helpful and kind. Usually you probably only hear from people with complaints but I want to email and say THANKS!!!!!!

I bring to your attention the magnificent job your electrical workers have done and are continuing to do in our area in the North End of New Rochelle. Never have I encountered such wonderful, helpful people, who have exibited a sympathy, tirelessness and willingness to go the extra mile in bringing electricity back to our neighborhood. These guys have worked sixteen hour days and at the end of the day is willing to answer questions, make promises for the next day THAT THEY KEEP. The are truly a breath of fresh year than what we generally encounter here in the North East. Finally, I would like to particularly give a shout out to Gilbert Sanchez and his crew. Great job. Wonderful and caring human beings.

I am a born and raised Jersey girl now living outside Philadelphia. On my two hour drive from North Jersey to PA this morning I saw convoy after convoy of your bucket trucks heading north on the NJ Turnpike and east on the PA Turnpike. I can only assume your crews are going to help the utility workers trying to restore power to the people affected by Sandy. The sight of your trucks brought tears to my eyes, because I know many people still without power in that area. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" from the bottom of this Jersey girl's heart

November 7, 2012

This morning after dropping my son off at school I headed to Wal Mart... I see a number of Pike trucks parked in Cracker Barrel, WalMart parking area and Sam's Club parking area... I can only imagine all of the trucks are heading to the affected areas from Hurricane Sandy... I wanted to thank you for your kindness in this matter... I was not affected by the hurricane this time... But, when I was a young girl I experienced Hurricane Agnes... We were without power for weeks... Last year Tropical Storm Lee and Hurricane Irene hammered us... I know what its like to be without power... I am so touched to see the help these victims are getting... I just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart... This is one great country we live in... We all seem to pull together to help others when they are in need... May God Bless and watch over your crews...

This is a sincere thank you for your efforts in Rye, NY. Specifically to the team of real gentlemen from GA and Ala. They were excellent workers, compassionate to the questions for those who had been without electric power for so long. They acknowledged each person's questions with patience and understanding. I am a Yankee, but I love these guys. Again, thank you for sending them.

I live in Larchmont, NY. Over the last two days more than a dozen of your trucks and crews have descended on our neighborhood to help repair the power lines destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. I was only without power for 5 days, by day 5 it was really cold. Many of my neighbors are still without. I wanted to write and let you know just how much we all appreciate the unbelievable kindness and generosity of your company and those men who have traveled so far to help us. A week like this one makes you realize how we take basic needs like heat for granted. Please know (and let your workers know) how much your efforts and work is appreciated and how truly grateful we are! Thank you!!

I just wanted to send a note of thanks to your workers who are up here in Bucks County, PA helping restore power to our neighborhood. I had been without power since Monday afternoon on 10/29 and had been given revised dates as to when my power would be restored. All of my neighbors power was restored on 10/31 but we still did not have power due to a branch disconnecting the wire to my house. On Sunday, 11/4, my husband noticed a Pike crew driving by our home and waived them down. Brian proceeded to tell them what our issue was so they stopped and got out and looked for themselves. When they realized how easy it would be to reconnect for us, they assured us that they would be back before the day was out to restore our power. When we returned later that afternoon, we were pleasantly surprised to see that they did infact return and restore our power as promised. I can't thank them enough! We were out 7 days at that point and were given yet another 2 days out by PECO before it could be repaired. Our temps that night were in the 30's and we were thrilled to be warm and snug in our own beds. I, my husband and my children cannot begin to thank you enough. I wish I knew their names but we never did get it and we weren't home when they came back. If you could please let your crews know how much we appreciated what they did. We are very very grateful!!! Thanks again,

Last Saturday evening a group of Pike trucks were in my neighborhood restoring power after hurricane Sandy knocked down trees and power lines. The only employee I was able to get their name was a young man named Eli. I brought coffee and donuts to the guys. They were all extremely appreciate as well as professional and courteous. A few hours later I had power restored. I can't thank the guys from Pike enough. If these gentlemen are representative of Pike as a whole, you have one great group of employees and should be very proud of the work they do. Thanks again.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy here in NJ and as a person who was out of power for 5 days, it was such a great sight to see a fleet of your trucks traveling down Rt 10 this morning, knowing your crews were going to help put the power on for people who have been without for over 1 wk. While you did not put my home back in service, I just wanted to say "Thank you" for aiding in putting NJ back on the grid!!

Hello. I live in New Rochelle, NY and just want to send a huge 'thank you' to Pike and their employees. Having no power for a week tested our resolve but we can't complain as many, especially those in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY have so little. My point is, your men (and women), who left their warm homes and loving families to help us are held in mine, and my neighbors, highest regards. A Mr. Albert Sanchez, took it upon himself to see to it that we had power last night, and we did. After which he headed up the street to ensure power was restored to them also. We hadn't seen our local power co., Con Ed, but your trucks arrived like a caravan and we cheered! Two days later, we, and our neighbors, had power. Bless them all but especially Mr. Sanchez. He went beyond his duties to give us much needed information and we all feel it was his personal resolve and dedication which provided us hope and finally - power! Please, please send this caravan of hope to other devastated areas. They are truly heroes. A simple thank you seems so minimal but it's from the heart. Many thanks again and our blessings to you all...

We'd been without power (or heat) in Bernardsville, NJ for 6 days after Sandy. 100's of large trees down and power lines down everywhere and at least 8 broken poles within 1/2 mi of my house. When I saw your trucks assembling in a church parking lot only three blocks from my house it was such a relief. A day later we had power and heat. Thanks.

Bernardsville, New Jersey

November 6, 2012

I just wanted to say thank you to the employees who came to New York to help restore power after Hurricane Sandy. I saw the Pike trucks arrive in my area over the weekend, and last night I got home from work and power had been restored after 8 long days. I know the crews are working very hard in increasingly cold weather, and I just wanted to be sure they knew my neighbors and I greatly appreciate it

I'm one of the hundreds of thousands of people in NJ with no power. I saw a bunch of your trucks on the highway in NJ today and wished there was some way I could thank every member of those crews for coming up here and helping out. We're all pretty cold and frazzled by now, but seeing your crews warmed my heart. Please pass along my gratitude. THANK YOU!!!!

Martinsville, New Jersey

November 6, 2012

I want to thank your company for sending trucks up to my state to help restore power. I had been without power for 7 days and now my electric is restored. I know there are still many in my state that are still out. I passed by several of your trucks on the NJ Turnpike and can't express enough how much we appreciate people coming from other states to help us recover from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

Spotswood, New Jersey

I passed a caravan of your trucks this morning as I headed into work. I work in Horsham, PA. Usually only a caravan of military vehicles can invoke such a sense of American Pride but this morning your trucks did it. Take care of your guys since they are taking care of us. Thank you

We recently experienced Hurrican Sandy and its fury. Crews from Pike spent two days here repairing our downed power wires and transformers. We had seven 100' trees come down and cause extensive damage. Your crews were here early in the morning and did not leave until after sundown. They were professional, competent, polite, hard working and would answer questions when time allowed. Thank you and them for assisting us when we really needed it.

Mamaroneck, New York

November 7, 2012

Hello, I am in Bernardsville NJ and lost power during Hurricane Sandy 8 days ago. Your crews selflessly left their loved ones and drove all the way to NJ just to help us out when our power company, JCP&L, was overwhelmed with outages. I just want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their help with restoring power today, before a nor'easter is set to hit tomorrow. We appreciate all their hard work and have been praying for their safety. I wish I could have personally thanked the crew who worked in our area. Their sacrifice really means a lot to us, thank you so very much! Safe travels back home!

Bernardsville, New Jersey

Just wanted to say thank you so much for restoring our power. I am fully aware of how far you traveled to help the New York and New Jersey areas. After 8 days of no power we were getting very despondent. Thank you again for your generosity. My daughter goes to school in South Carolina and there really is nothing like southern generosity!

Briarcliff Manor, New York

Hello, I am a resident of Lansdale, PA, and was without power for a full week following Hurricane Sandy. I was so happy and grateful when I saw your trucks pull up in the neighborhood on Monday! I know your guys must be working very long hours to help PECO, our local electric company restore power to everyone before this Wednesday when we are predicted to have another storm. It is so nice to have heat again and be able to stay in my home! I just wanted to personally say 'Thank You!' to your company for sending help when it was so needed. Thank you--God bless your company and the workers that came north to help out!

THANK YOU & God Bless the crews that came to New Jersey (and all area), to 'assist' with the aftermath of Sandy!!! The rest of the world may not have a clue what damage "Sandy" left behind - But your crews sure saw first hand, the Devastation done to our small towns (as well as NYC and the Jersey Shore)!!! We, in BERNARDSVILLE, NJ; cannot thank you enough!! It took a crew of @10 trucks, 4 FULL days - to restore ~ HEAT, Hot Water, POWER ~ to my road (area)! 41 degrees IN the house - 28 degrees OUTSIDE!!!! Election Day - My vote goes to you (and "our crew", from Virginia)!!!
THANK YOU ! ! Stay safe & Stay Warm - Hope NOT to see/need you any time soon!!!!!

Bernardsville, New Jersey

Pike - Bernardsville residents cannot thank your crews enough for getting power back to us. We were 8 days without power and heat, then 40 PIKE trucks rolled by. Thank you for sending your crews to help. They did an amazing job and the conditions were less than ideal for the workers. Tonight I sleep in a warm home....Bernardsville, New Jersey

We want to send a big thank you to the Pike crew who worked on Ott Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania and restored our power. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting one of your employees at the Days Inn on Airport Road. The gentleman we spoke to was familiar with the area and destruction across the street from our house exactly and assured us that we would have power by this evening. When we returned home from work our house was nice and warm. We realize that these men have been away from their friends and family to dedicate their lives to help others that are in desperate need. Our family cannot thank you enough for everything that you have done for the families in the Lehigh Valley area.

To Whom It May Concern,
As a resident of southeastern Pennsylvania It was a great joy to see your company's trucks flooding the streets around here after Hurricane Sandy hit. Your workers worked safely and efficiently to restore power to the many who lost electricity. It has meant a lot to us to see companies from out of state to come to the rescue. We are truly thankful for your service to us. As this message may not reach a CEO or any executive I just wanted to say thank you and your company is loved. I hope and pray more people in the area will send letters or emails to the companies that have come to help. Again thank you and God Bless.

Just a quick note that I am hoping you can pass on to the crew that worked in Horner, WV this past weekend. My in-laws live there and my father-in-law is in hospice care. Without your dedicated crew the hospice nurses and family would not have been able to come to the house. They worked well into the night actually I think they worked all night. Our family would like to say a special "Thank You" I hope this will also be passed on to upper management. Again, we are so thankful for the crew!

November 6, 2012

We saw a convoy of your line trucks in our town today and want to pass along our gratitude. While we remain without power since Sandy hit our state, we still have a roof over our heads. It's a mear inconvenience compared to what folks in NJ are going through right now. We gave your guys a thumbs up and thanked them for their efforts to get us back on line. We don't take it for granted.

and I live in White Plains, N.Y. I just wanted to say thank you to you, your company and your workers for leaving their homes and families to come here to help restore power after Sandy hit. When I saw your trucks lined up on my street this morning I could have cried. I thought "Yay! The cavalry is here!" Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The compassion and selflessness of your workers who trekked up this way to help people they don't even know (people like me) restores my faith in mankind and makes me realize how truly wonderful some people are. Your company and your workers deserve to be commended. Please let your company and your workers know how much I appreciate their efforts. I can only hope that if you ever need anything, New York will respond in kind.

I am a resident of Delaware, and I wanted to let you know about my ride in to work today. Although my portion of our state was not hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, many other states and towns were. It is all over the news and newspaper. It breaks my heart to see the devastation of cities where my family vacations every year. It was so heartwarming to see a huge caravan of electrical trucks heading up the road with your company's name on the side of them. I wanted to personally thank you and your employees for taking time to travel to the ravaged areas to help those that are in need of getting their power restored. Thank you again!!

Delaware, Delaware

November 5, 2012

I just want to thank your company for sending your crews to assist our PECO service cresw during the outage in our area from Hurricane Sandy. We saw two of your crews working at the end of our road yesterday working to remove the trees leaning on wires and restoring the power. My husband and I are in our mid 60's healthy and pretty much able to take care of ourselves in this type of emergency - we have a generator and wood stove, so were able to keep the fridge cold, and had heat, and my husband is an electrical engineer and rewired our water pump, so we had water. Many of our neighbors were not so lucky, and particularly for them we thank you and bless you for coming and getting the "lights back on". We certainly pray that PECO will reciprocate if/when emergencies arise in NC. Again thank you for coming to help; it has restored our faith that our country has not been lost in the stock market fiascos, the bank fiascos. The "regular" people are still there for their neighbors. God Bless.

Doylestown, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

Hi, As a NY Resident, I would like to Thank you for sending your people and equipment up to us to assist us with putting the power back on. I am a resident of of Pennsylvania. After last weeks "Superstorm - Sandy" I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the many Pike Crews who left thier families annd worked incredibly long days to help restore our power. I live in a rural area on well water (so power is essential. Despite how widespread the storm damage was our area had power just 3 days after the storm. Had it not been for the help of Pike Electric we would have gone many more days without electric. Your crews were professional and worked tirelessly to help our commumnity.

I work in the construction industry and understand how diffucult it is work the number of days and hours while maintaining safety that your crews did to help people who live many miles from North Carolina.

I sincerely appreciate your companies and your employees willingness to help out the ares hit by Sandy.

Emmaus, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

Many thanks to the three-truck Pike crew that restored our outage - a quick, skilled team! We know how hard they've been working to help us out here in Eastern PA and we're grateful for their dedication.

Allentown, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

Last night I was leaving work (at Walmart) and I noticed a line of your trucks in our parking lot. I was so fortunate to never lose power in the horrible storm, but I felt the need to thank your workers for all of the hard work they are doing to help everyone get power back. I pulled up, rolled down my window, the driver of the truck rolled his down, and I thanked him & his buddies for all they are doing. He looked so incredibly tired. YOu should be incredibly proud of your workers for all they are doing. So for those who cannot, or will not thank you , I am saying thank you to you and all of your workers for all you are doing in the aftermath of Sandy.

Sellersville, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

Thank you for sending your crews to Ny in response to Sandy. I had a number of your crews and trucks right near my house the last 2 days. They were amazing, friendly and got us back up way before we expected. I have a close friend form National Grid who was called out to help the tri-state area so I know what an inconvenience it is to be sent to disasters like this. I tried to personally thank any of your employees that I encountered over the past few weeks. But I want them and their bosses and their bosses bosses to know how grateful those of us here in Irvington are for their help. God Bless

Irvington, New York

November 5, 2012

I am writing just to say thank- you to the wonderful PIKE professionals who rode to our rescue and have been working all hours to restore our power after Sandy. Seeing the line of big yellow PIKE trucks pull into my dark, cold neighborhood Saturday night and Sunday, literally brought tears of relief to my eyes. Our daughter is autistic and it has been a traumatic time for her. Having the power restored and seeing her life is returning to normal is the greatest gift we could ever receive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity and professionalism.

New City, New York

November 5, 2012

GIANT THANK YOU!!! My neighborhood was pretty devastated by hurricane Sandy earlier this week. We saw your trucks in the area the last few days - working non- stop to restore our power. It was a long 5 days - but could have been much longer without the help of companies like yours. Again, thank you for helping us during this hectic situation.

bethlehem, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

I just wanted to reach out to you and send a special thanks to the crew that you sent to New York to help with the hurricane recovery. You had a team of 6 guys I believe from Georgia who were in Florida last week and drove to New York this week. They were the ones that restored the power to my neighborhood. We had been without power since last Monday, and as they can confirm, the temperatures at night have started falling, so it has been very cold for us and all of my neighbors. I hope that this crew and any others that were sent to help are realize how appreciative we all were that they were here to help out. Again, thank you

Larchmont, New York

November 5, 2012

I would like to thank you for the assistance that your crews gave to PPL customers in the Bethlehem, PA area. I am most appreciative of the long hard hours your crews put in to help restore power to those of us that did not have during and after the storm "Sandy". Kudos to all of your employees that rendered assistance. .

November 5, 2012

I wanted to say thank you for all the folks you sent to PA to help us restore power after the storm. I met a guy on Saturday here in Wayne who missed his young son's birthday yesterday to get us back on our feet. It makes me proud to be an American and I thank you deeply for your service and dedication.

Wayne, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

Please extend my heartfelt thanks to the PIKE crew who worked through the night to get electricity back to our neighborhood in Larchmont, New York. After almost a week without power and rapidly dropping temperatures, we were almost out of hope until their trucks rolled up! Thank you very much.

Larchmont, New York

November 5, 2012

I just had to write to your company. After getting hit by Hurricane Sandy our neighbors across the street were still withour power after a week. My home had power and we were running extension cords to theirs. I cannot tell you happy the whole street was to see your big yellow trucks come rumbling down our block. My husband and I stopped and thanked them in person but please thank them again for leaving their families to help others

Just wanted to drop Pike management a line...As a result of Hurricane Sandy, we lost power last Monday at 6PM. Con Edison (our power provider) was obviously overwhelmed with the outtages, and some Pike crews have been working locally to bring power back to us, almost block by block. Your guys, who were working on our block (we are the last leg on a line) could not have been nicer and more helpful, especially given the fact that they refused to take lunch until they got our power back on. You have a great crew and they should be commended for their devotion to getting things done as quickly and efficiently as possible...a lot better than we are used to. I don't know the names of the guys in the crew, but they were working in the area for the last few days.

Irvington, New York

To the PIKE family,
I live in PA, a suburb outside of Philadelphia. I have seen many PIKE Electric Trucks and it is so nice to see other electric companies helping those in need right now. While there are still way too many without power (I was without it for 3 days), I know everyone is working as hard as they can to get the job done. The reason I am emailing PIKE, I own a catering company and I want to offer a hot breakfast or lunch to one of your crews who are still in my area working hard. Is there a way that I can contact someone to make this happen. This is not a PR move, I dont want recognition, I just want to do it. Thank you in advance

Philadelphia ,Pennsylvania

Hi, I am not sure if I have the correct company or not. I was one of the areas that lost power during "Sandy". I saw the PIKE trucks on our area and within 24 hours we had power back even though I saw trees down over lines and it was still raining and quite ugly out. THANK YOU! I work for PPL in generation and know some of our lineman. My hat is off to any of the guys out there working during storms. Great job! ps...if you know specifically who was in our area I was the jogger who went by them on Tues.

Thank you sooo, soooooo much for restoring my power. Words can't express my gratitude. What I can tell you is how relieved and thankful I felt last night when an army of pike trucks arrived in my neighborhood. It's getting cold in the northeast and five days without power has been a challenge. There are many more people who will have a much longer wait. Your crew was extraordinarily skilled, polite and professional. Thank you, thank you!!

November 5, 2012

I just wanted to thank your company for sending crews to help with the clean up from Hurricane Sandy. I was visiting friends in Arlington, VA when the storm hit and one of your crews from Georgia helped restore our power. It was a terrible storm that knocked down huge trees by their roots. When I returned to my home in Pennsylvania on Thursday night after the storm, we were still without power there. On Sunday one of your crews from North Carolina came and fixed the power lines on our wooded lane where many large trees came down and pulled down the wires. Your crews have been working so hard restoring power to the hard hit areas and we are so thankful. They guys who restored our power looked tired and cold, yet they continue on. Thanks for all the help. We so appreciate it. You never know how vulnerable you are until you don't have the bare necessities like heat, water, and light.

Pennsburg, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

This may be a bit unconventional, but I would like to give a big high five and a pat on the ass to the Pike Electric employees who came up from Miami to help my little town of Nyack get its power back. They have worked extremely hard in the cold, and continue to be extremely friendly and professional. They deserve recognition for what they have provided us. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Nyack, New York

November 5, 2012

I think I have reached the correct power company, and if not I apologize. I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to the men and women who have come here to help restore power in our community. We are located outside of New York City, in the county of Rockland. Unfortunately some of your employees have had to deal with some very rude people. It is unfortunate these people can give all of us New Yorkers a bad name. For the most we are SO grateful for this help.I was hoping your company had a facebook page so I could share with all my friends what a great company you have, and your workers are most courteous! Thank you again!!!!

Nyack, New York

I just wanted to say "thank you" to your company for providing trucks and crew to help restore power in Connecticut. Our power was restored after being out for 6 days after Hurricane Sandy, and I'm sure it would have been out for weeks more if there weren't out-of-state assistance. Your line crew was polite and professional, and beyond appreciated.

November 5, 2012

I would like to say Thank you for helping out our community in a time a need. I am a volunteer firefighter from Bucks County Pa. and many people come up to me to thank me for helping them, but I thought how many people actually thank the men and women who come from several states away to help complete strangers. This is what America is all about. We reach out to help strangers and think nothing about it. You have a great group of people working for you and I would like to say Thank you very much.

Croydon, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

I just wanted to offer my thanks to your crews who are restoring power here under difficult and very chaotic conditions. Many thanks for their work.

November 5, 2012

THANK YOU PIKE POWER!!! Here in NJ we have lots of crazy storms from time to time. I have lived in Bernardsville, NJ my whole life - I was born during the middle of Hurricane Hazel in 1954 which was probably the last time that NJ suffered power problems the likes of Hurricane Sandy. We usually get by and I have never lost power for more than 24 hours. We just suffered through 7 full days of no power and no heat. We had poles and wires down on almost every road in our little town and many people were trapped in their homes because of it. I saw 8 of your trucks roll past my house just after 9AM today. Your trucks were staging right near my home and then your guys were EVERYWHERE. Within 12 hours we - and most of my friends in other parts of town - had our power restored. The entire neighborhood stood along the road and cheered as your trucks drove by. I just wanted to say a huge NJ thank you to all your crews who helped us out so quickly after we had been forgotten about for so long. Please pass this communication along to your management team and the line crews who are our heroes!!!!

Bernardsville, New Jersey

Wanted to send a quick e mail to express my thanks to the crew that came to help the residents on Hedge Rd get power back! What a great group of men!

Levittown , Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

I just want to let you know how happy we were to see your crews on our street here in Ossining. We had been out of power for 5 days, and were convinced that given the gravity of the problem--a huge fallen oak that had pulled the lines down to the ground, cracking two poles in the process-- that we would be powerless well into this week. Seeing only one or two Coned trucks in days hadn't given us any hope. Your crews showed up about midday on Friday--had six bucket trucks in the air along the street, and we had light and heat in our house that night. They worked into the dark--and it wasn't warm out there. My thanks, and my family's thanks to all of you. What a great bunch of folks!

Ossining, New York

November 5, 2012

I hope you realize how grateful we are that your employees came up to NY to help us recover from the impact of Hurricane Sandy. We were one of the lucky ones. No one got hurt and our house sustained no damages. But as it was getting colder, with no power and in the dark, it was getting more trying. Last night, your staff worked until close to 10pm and suddenly we had light and heat. We so appreciate their hard work and willingness to be here, away from their own families. On behalf of my family, neighbors and friends, thank you!!

White Plains, New York

November 5, 2012

I just wanted to send a heart-felt "thank you" to the crew that worked on Crow Hill Road in Mount Kisco, New York on Sunday, November 4th that restored the power in my area. The sight of those trucks warmed my heart. My family appreciates the time this crew is putting in helping out, knowing that they have left their loved ones behind. Please convey my thanks to them when they return home.

Mount Kisco, New York

November 5, 2012

I would just like to thank the people from Pike for all the hard work and effort they put in to helping the storm victims recover power. It was a great feeling to see the trucks rolling back to back day in and day out, for an area i'm not sure they even service! I noticed the NC plates and my family is from NC so that was pretty cool, but way more of a blessed feeling, to know there are still good people in the world. There sense of urgency when they hopped out of there trucks on my block brought a sense of relief to me and my family. We all thank you guys very much!! And God bless!

Mount Vernon, New York

November 5, 2012

I live in Upper Nyack New York an area of New York that was hit hard by hurricane Sandy. I just needed to thank Pike Electric and their great crews for restoring our power to our home. And for helping the thousands of Orange and Rockland utility customers restore their power. Again Thank-You! Your crews are still doing an amazing job. My God bless them and keep them ALL SAFE.

Upper Nyack, New York

November 5, 2012

On Saturday Nov. 3, 2012 I was traveling North on I 495 just North of Wilmington , Delaware. As I merged onto the highway I encountered your caravan which I presumed was heading to New York or New Jersey to help with the damage caused by the Super Storm. I found at least 20 trucks with support vehicles in perfect formation heading north. That sight gave me goose bumps and an appreciation of being an american. So on behalf of my family in Delaware thank you and I know that folks like you may come to my familys need in such an emergency. Please pass my appreciation on to the crews who left their familys to help other Americans in need.

Middletown, Delaware

November 5, 2012

I live in White Plains, NY. After more than 6 days in the dark and cold we were rescued by a Pike crew who came all the way from Texas. Despite not having all the supplies that were supposed to be there for them, they were determined to get us back up before moving on. I'm am very impressed with their professionalism and concern. Many many thanks.

White Plains, New York

November 5, 2012

To whom it may concern: My family was recently involved in Hurrican Sandy. We were without power from Monday Oct 29, 2012 until yesterday Sunday Nov 4, 2012. We have 2 little girls and trying to keep them warm and bathed was a challenge. I just wanted to send many THANKS to the gentleman who fixed our power and for coming from out of state to help us around here. They worked long hours and I can't thank them enough. Thank you again. Have a safe and Happy Holiday Season.

Spring Valley, New York

November 5, 2012

I live in the Lehigh Valley, PA. I was without power for 4 long days and nights. I finally got it back on Friday night and I am extremely grateful. On Saturday morning on the way to my second job, I saw so many trucks from Pike Electric Company out by I-78 in Breinigsville. I swear it was the whole fleet. Thank you so much to the men and women who came to help get our power restored. We take so many things for granted like turning on the lights, taking a hot shower and having heat. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sending so many of your people to help us all out. It is greatly appreciated. God Bless them all!

Walnutport, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

THANK YOU from Westchester NY! Your crews worked tirelessly on our street all weekend and were able to help restore power to us after 6 days. I had the chance to chat with some of your team members and they were all extremely friendly and expressed their dedication to putting things right as quickly as possible. They were also really sweet to my 2 year old who was fascinated with the trucks. Can't thank you enough for coming up to help us out. We really appreciate it!

Mount Kisco, New York

Levittown, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

I live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Recently we were affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We were very fortunate compared to other people but were without power for 6 days. We were very grateful to see a crew from Pike working in our area. They knew what they were doing and got our power back on so we could get back to a normal routine. I know that this is their job, but I am sure there is some personal sacrifice (being away from home, working in the cold) that goes with it. I hope that you get many letters like mine. But I wanted to let you know that we are very thankful and appreciative of the hard work of the People of Pike that came to help us in our hour of need. Thank You and God Bless,

Chalfont, Pennsylvania

November 5, 2012

Thank you so much for coming to my town to help us with recovery from Hurricane Sandy. It's been 7 days since we've lost power...glad to see you team on my road today. Hopefully, they will have us and running today. Thank you. Thank you.

Yorktown Heights, New York

November 5, 2012

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You guys risked your lives to bring power back to my neighborhood in White Plains NY. I have two little children (2 & 4 years) and though one can live without the modern conveniences, living without heat when you have little kids is just unacceptable. I went out to try to thank the crew in person lat night but they looked very very busy and the work they were engaged in looked dangerous, but in my heart my wife and I are extremely grateful. Thank You & Bless You all.

White Plains, New York

November 4, 2012

THANK YOU PIKE for sending your guys up to my 'hood to help restore power after we got knocked out by Sandy. I have spoken (and hugged) a number of your men and they are all perfect gentlemen, and MY HEROES! I was without power for only 3 days, but they restored power to some of my clients, who were powerless until today (5 days). I am afraid of the dark (we all gotta be afraid of something, don't we?), so this is a really emotional thing for me to have lights again! I love electricity, and i love PIKE!

New Rochelle, New York

November 3, 2012

Your guys who have come to NY to help us out are awesome! This morning I saw a couple big trucks marked PIKE go past our local bakery here in Pelham (where I was sitting using their wifi as ours was out from Hurricane Sandy). This evening as it was getting dark I was walking down the street, and there was a big yellow truck - headlamps - in the gloom with the men up on a cherry picker in the almost-dark, fixing our power lines. THANK YOU for coming! We have many families with small children in the neighborhood and it is so good to see the lights coming back on in the "dead zone" as neighbors have called it!. Your crew is awesome - and working so hard after what must have been a very, very long drive to get here. THANK YOU!

Pelham, New York

November 3, 2012

I just wanted to tell you what a really great job your crew from Johnson City TN did today as they restored electricity in my neighborhood. They were just wonderful - polite, respectful, kind and very helpful! All of our neighbors commented on this, and I wanted you to know how thankful we all are that they came to our rescue after a week without electricity.
Thanks!

November 3, 2012

Thank you doesn't seem to be enough to all the workers who have us during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. You have left your families to help total strangers and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. When we at Seavy and Sestito Internal Medicine saw your trucks and your friendly faces we were speechless especially seeing how far you have come and knowing you left your own families to help us- again thank you thank you thank you- MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND WATCH OVER YOU AND BE SAFE- once again Southern Hospitality shines!

Lansdale, Pennsylvania

November 3, 2012

Thanks to your utility crews for coming all the way to Westchester, NY to help us get our power back on. Today, I now have internet, the shopping center is open for business, and I really appreciate that your employees would come all this way and probably have to stay in a cramped, uncomfortable hotel to help us. Thank you so much.

Ossining, New York

November 3, 2012

I got an opportunity of a lifetime to personally thank the crew that worked tirelessly to restore our power here in our tiny town. I wanted to send a bit of recognition corporately as well. I spoke with one of the crewmen who were camped out in their trucks at the small inn in town when i brought them a small token of my thanks, he said they had worked all day and night getting the poles fixed and none of them could stand to sleep until they saw "Spinnerstown lit up like the Fourth of July." Thank you all for coming here and being away from your families.

Spinnerstown, Pennsylvania

November 3, 2012

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for sending crews up to us in New Canaan. We have been without power since Monday and your trucks rolled up our street this morning (Saturday). Many, many thanks.

New Canaan, Connecticut

November 3, 2012

One of your crews recently (Friday, 2 November) restored electricity to our home. I would like to thank them for their dedication to helping others in need. While we did not see the destruction of the Jersey shore, there were many trees on the lines and across the roads making the work much more difficult. We truly appreciate your workers leaving their families to come help us get back to normal quickly. We extend our gratitude and appreciation to all.

Coopersburg, Pennsylvania

November 2, 2012

I wanted to send a note of thanks to your company and power crews. While driving on I-95 in DE, I passed about 20 of your trucks with their support crews heading North. Probably headed to NY, NJ or PA. While Delaware was relatively unscathed, the damage that Sandy brought to that metro area is substantial. May they travel safely and bring relief to thousands. Many blessings to your crews as they spend time away from their families. Thank you,

Wilmington, Delaware

November 2, 2012

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to your crew for restoring power tonight to my pregnant sister's neighborhood tonight. She lives on Colfax road in Havertown PA. She has been without power from the storm since Monday and your crew worked hard all day today to bring them back up. It helps me sleep better at night knowing she's safe and has power. A very special thank you to the crew, especially a kind gentleman up from Florida, who kept her up to date on the status and let her know what was going on. Your crew did a great job and deserved more of a thank you than this email but I wanted to acknowledge their hard work and say thank you.

While driving this morning i passed a whole line of Pike trucks going down the road. I consider myself one of the lucky ones as I have minor home damage and the 2trees that fell were far enough away that the only damage they did was to a fence. I am still without power but as I said consider myself lucky. I DO want to thank all your workers who have put their lives on hold and left their families to come help in the Northeast. Their time and hard work is appreciated more than words can say! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH !!!!!

I would like to thank you for sending your trucks up to Westchester County, NY to help restore power following Hurricane Sandy. Today as I was driving along Westlake Drive, I came upon several of your trucks working on the power lines. I asked where they came from and they said North Carolina. I thanked them for all their work. They restored our power in a few hours. We greatly appreciate it as the forecast is for colder weather over the next few days. Later in the evening, around 8pm, I saw a whole line up of your trucks going down the main road. It was impressive and made me wish I could thank them each personally. So, I thought I'd send you a note to say that your team made our day.

Valhalla, New York

My power came back on tonight. I know how hard it is to leave your family to come help others. I just want to make sure that your workers get the credit they deserve. I don't care if it's their job to do it, because it takes more than one to get others back on track. Please send a message to those here in PA. Let them know that their help is truly appreciated.

Coopersburg, Pennsylvania
